The Hans India reported the date on which the first glimpse would be unveiled.
Pinkvilla reported that the glimpse would not feature Will Smith and would instead focus on showcasing the film’s grandeur, addressing speculation that had been circulating about international casting.
We are flagging that last point carefully. Reports about Will Smith’s involvement have circulated without confirmation from the production. Bengaluru Baath is not treating any international casting as established.

Raaka is the biggest test yet of whether Indian cinema can mount straight-ahead science fiction at tentpole scale. With this combination of director, star and studio, it will not fail for lack of resources, which means whatever happens will be a clean read on the audience’s appetite.
The Deepika Padukone casting also signals the film is being built for a national rather than Telugu-first release.

Two of the most commercially reliable people in Indian cinema making a science fiction film with Sun Pictures money is genuinely exciting, and we say that as people who have watched a lot of Indian sci-fi promise the future and deliver a lot of teal. What we like about the reported approach is the discipline: leading with scale rather than a cameo reveal suggests somebody understands that stunt casting sells one weekend and world-building sells a franchise. What we are watching for is whether Atlee, whose instinct is enormous emotion, can hold that instinct inside a genre that punishes sentimentality. If he can, this is the biggest swing Indian cinema takes next year.
