Why This Route Is Interesting

Look at that list again. Guwahati, Bhubaneswar, Visakhapatnam and Indore sit right next to the usual metro suspects. That is not an accident. When Shreya announced the global version of Unstoppable to The Hollywood Reporter India back in November 2025, she said her previous tour had covered nearly 50 cities and that this time the plan was bigger venues and cities that had been left out before.

That tracks with a larger shift in Indian live music. Tier two cities are no longer “bonus dates.” They are where a lot of the untapped ticket demand lives, especially for an artist whose fanbase cuts across Hindi, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and Marathi film music. Starting the India leg in Bengaluru and closing in Indore tells you exactly how wide that net is.

The Catalogue She Is Carrying

For context on what “two decades” actually means here: Shreya’s film career began with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Devdas in 2002, and she has collected multiple National Film Awards for Best Female Playback Singer, across Hindi, Bengali and Marathi films. Very few Indian singers can walk into Kolkata, Kochi, Pune and Chennai and have a genuinely local set for each crowd. She can, and her “songs tailored by city” promise is basically a flex built on that range.

That also explains why the tour does not need a stadium. A singer whose appeal is spread across a dozen language markets gets more out of 14 full rooms than one giant one.

What She Promised

In that THR India interview, Shreya said the setlist would pull in newer releases with fresh arrangements and visuals, while tailoring songs to each city (think more Tamil tracks in Chennai). But some things are sacred. On classics like “Mere Dholna” and “Chikni Chameli,” she was blunt: “These are OGs I won’t touch. They stay as they are.”

She described the show as “larger than life” but still deeply personal, a look back at two decades that she framed as “just the beginning.”

The India leg follows the international stretch of the tour, including North American dates in Boston, Washington DC, Chicago, Oakland and Los Angeles that Rolling Stone India described as sold out.

The Business Angle

District by Zomato holding the ticketing is worth a note. India’s live ticketing space has become a two horse race between District and BookMyShow, and marquee domestic tours are now part of that fight, not just the international headliners. A five month, 14 city run by one of the most reliably bankable voices in the country is exactly the kind of long tail inventory a ticketing platform wants.

For artists, a long, spaced out domestic route also lowers risk compared to one massive stadium bet. Different strategy, same goal: turn a streaming catalogue into seats.

What We Do Not Know Yet

Venues, prices, presale details and exact show times for Bengaluru and the other cities are all still pending. We will update when District publishes them. We are not going to guess a venue for 22 November, because a wrong venue is worse than no venue.

Bengaluru Baath Take

Opening night in Bengaluru is a flex, and we will absolutely take it. Shreya Ghoshal is one of the few Indian singers who can fill a room in any language and still make “Chikni Chameli” sound like a sacred text. The 14 city map is the real story though: Indian touring is finally treating Guwahati and Visakhapatnam like markets, not afterthoughts. Keep District open in a tab. November is closer than it looks.
