• Supporting documents: anything that substantiates the claim.
• Contact information: how we can reach you for follow-up questions.
• Photos or videos: only where you own the rights or are authorised to share them.
• Why it is newsworthy: what makes this matter to a reader.

What happens next

• We assess every submission we receive. We are not able to reply to all of them.
• Submission does not guarantee publication. We publish only what we can verify to our own standard.
• We may contact you for clarification, documents or on-record comment.
• We may decline to publish for editorial, verification or legal reasons without explaining our reasoning.

We would rather correct an error quickly than defend it. If you believe Bengaluru Baath has published a factual error, write to us and we will look at it.

What to include in a correction request

• The URL of the article.
• The specific statement you believe is inaccurate, quoted exactly.
• Why it is inaccurate.
• Supporting evidence, links or documents.
• Your name and contact details.

How we handle it

• We review the request and check it against our own sources.
• Where a significant factual error is verified, we correct or update the article.
• Where a correction materially changes the meaning of a story, we note that the article has been corrected or updated.
• Where we are unable to verify a claimed error, we may leave the article unchanged and will say so.
• A disagreement with our opinion, review, rating or editorial judgement is not a factual error, though we are still glad to hear it.
